Welcome meeting & Commencement of activities: 17AugustEvery participant will receive at least 4 lessons of 45 minutes each.
Lessons will be taught by a professor selected in the application. Exception MasterClass for Flute: you can apply for one of the teachers’ courses or choose a course with both teachers. (split lessons)
There will be a co-teaching seminar by the two teachers (approx. 4hours): “Musical interpretation and its conditioning through the instrument.”REPERTOIRE
The master class repertoire ranges from baroque to contemporary music. Previous years have always seen special attention paid to Viennese Classicism, to works by Central and Eastern European Composers, and to the music of the Second Viennese School. isa also encourages all students to bring along repertoire that has to do with the current year’s motto or is linked to it in terms of music history.

Workshops, Lectures, Coaching Sessions
Alongside the master classes given by well-known, leading artistic personalities, isa also offers participants additional learning opportunities in the form of workshops, lectures, and coaching sessions.
All supplementary workshops and lectures are accessible only in combination with a master class and are included in the course fee. -
Awards and Audition
As part of the concerts and auditions during the isa23, prizes will be awarded for outstanding interpretations of certain works (Prize money € 1,000 – € 2,000 , master class-specific “Challenge” and isa-wide “Competition”).
On 17 August there will be auditions for the benefit concert for „Licht ins Dunkel“ on 22 August in Baden, where you can perform as a soloist with orchestra.

Concerts
The isaFestival is the presentation platform for all isa participants, providing the opportunity to perform in public as part of its concerts.
Exceptionally high artistic quality (soloist-level) is required.
Selection and final decisions regarding invitations to perform are made by isa´s artistic director. -
Application and Application Reuqirements
A prerequisite for participation is having attained a high artistic level.
Following files are required:
Two demo recordings (video)
2 movements or pieces (one slow, one fast):
One from the context of Viennese Classicism (Haydn, Mozart, Beethoven) or by a related composer
One from a stylistic era of your choice.

Free admission to all concerts of the isaFestivalThe course is to be paid after confirmation of participation by July 15, 2023 at the latest.
From July 15, 2023 the course fee can only be reimbursed in proven cases of force majeure (e.g. illness, accident, death in the family, etc.).
In no case will the registration fee be refunded! -
Travel and Accommodation
Participants are responsible for making and paying for their own travel arrangements.
We do offer a shuttle service at each course location that runs between the local train station and the hotel on the arrival and departure dates, as well as to concerts and by special arrangement.Accommodation
