TARGET GROUP
Graduate or postgraduate students or highly advanced undergraduates with performing experience.
COURSE STRUCTURE
Arrival: 12 August
Departure: 22 August
Welcome meeting & Commencement of activities: 13 August
Lessons will be taught by an assigned professor.
Every participant will receive at least 6 lessons of 45 minutes each.
REPERTOIRE
Arias of operas and operettas, as well as the art song and oratorio repertoire
isa also encourages all students to bring along repertoire that has to do with the current year's motto or is linked to it in terms of music history.
You have to know the repertoire by heart.
COURSE LANGUAGE
English
WORKSHOPS, LECTURES and COACHING SESSIONS
Alongside the master classes given by well-known, leading artistic personalities, isa also offers participants additional learning opportunities in the form of workshops, lectures, and coaching sessions.
All supplementary workshops and lectures are accessible only in combination with a master class and are included in the course fee.
AUDITION
For the orchestra concert on 19 August participants will have the opportunity to make an audition for the following solo positions:

Auditions will take place on 13 August 2019.
CONCERTS
The isaFestival is the presentation platform for all isa participants, providing the opportunity to perform in public as part of its concerts.
Exceptionally high artistic quality (soloist-level) is required.
Selection and final decisions regarding invitations to perform are made by isa´s artistic director.
APPLICATION and APPLICATION REQUIREMENTS
A prerequisite for participation is having attained a high artistic level, to be certified.
Following files are required:
1. Two demo recordings (audio or video)
Two arias, one by Mozart and a second one of your own free choice.

2. Letter of recommendation
A letter of recommendation from a renowned professor or a recognised personality of international musical life that addresses one’s artistic qualification for this master class is required.

FEES
Application fee € 150
Course tuition fee € 650

- Free admission to all concerts of the isaFestival
Accommodation costs: see section Travel & Accommodations
NEW: Accommodation costs must not be transferred to isa's bank account, but paid seperately to the hotel!
Deadline for payment of course fees: 30 June 2019
It is possible to purchase cancellation insurance. Insurance takes effect only after payment has been received! Should a claim be made, all fees paid will be reimbursed with no requirement to prove one’s reason for cancellation.
Cost: 5% of the (registration and course) fees actually paid to isa.
TRAVEL & ACCOMMODATIONS
Participants are responsible for making and paying for their own travel arrangements.
We do offer a shuttle service at each course location that runs between the local train station and the hotel on the arrival and departure dates, as well as to concerts and by special arrangement.
